This is a non-partisan community to debate and discuss both United States and International politics and current events. Everyone is welcome here-- liberals and conservatives as well as everyone in between. There are only a few simple rules to follow that will make this a wonderful community generated by open discussions.

1. There will be NO bashing of any political, ethnic or cultural viewpoint. This also goes for gender, sexual orientation, race or location.
2. This is a place for civil discussions. If you can't do this, you will be warned. If you continue, you will be kicked out of the community.
3. Please be open to other people's views. This doesn't mean you have to agree with them, but you need to respect them.
4. Advertising for other communities is not allowed. Any advertising for other communities will be immediately removed and the poster will be warned. You will get only one warning, so please don't do it again.
5. The moderators reserve the right to edit or delete any discussion if the topic gets out of hand and refuses to get back on topic.
6. If you start a topic, please link to whatever story you are referring to. If you use a statistic, anyone can call you on it and expect you to produce the link to the website where you got your information. Each member may also ask any member for their "proof" for any statistic or point that they make.
7. Images are allowed, but all images must be put behind a cut. Do not hotlink ANY photo from ANY website! You must upload your image into an image hosting website like PhotoBucket or TinyPic. Any hot-linked image will be promptly removed. Also, please credit where your image came from. For example, if you found your image at Cagle, mention somewhere in your post that you found it there ("Image found at cagle.com."). No one likes a hotlinker!
8. The owner of this community or of this website claims no responsibilty to the contents of the discussions. We will try to keep things from getting out of hand, but we need the commitment from our members that they will do the same.
9. All trolls (those posting simply to get a rile out of people) will be banned.
10. Every post must contain a subject line that is a general summary of what the post is about. (ie: If your post is about abortion and the new partial-birth ruling, you can use "Partial-Birth Abortions" as your subject line. If you do not provide a subject, I will provide one for you.
11. If you believe that a certain post has gotten out of hand, please contact me and I will review it. I want to make this community as non-partisan and fair as possible, and I will make any effort in order to reach that goal.
